William “Billy” Ryan Cuff

William Ryan Cuff, aka Billy, passed away at home unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the age of 38. Preceded in death by his father William, and his grandmother Mary Jean Fahey.

Billy grew up in Delafield, Wisconsin, and attended schools in the Kettle Moraine School District. Throughout his life, he developed a deep love and appreciation for Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where he spent many of his adult years and created many cherished memories.

Billy had a love for nature and adventure. He enjoyed fishing, skateboarding, wakeboarding, motorcycles, and spending time surrounded by animals. He loved both playing and watching hockey and had a remarkable creative spirit. Billy was an incredible artist whose talent for drawing was matched by his ability to create beautiful and unique artwork from wood and metal. His creativity was a special gift that reflected the way he saw and experienced the world.

Family was incredibly important to Billy. He shared a deep love and admiration for his mother, Joan; his father, Bill; and his brothers, Danny and Joey. He treasured family get-togethers, loved Christmas, and cherished every opportunity to gather with the people he loved. He also loved spending time with his friends. Whether it was a good cookout, a holiday celebration, or simply being together, Billy found joy in the company of others.

Billy had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor. He loved laughing, joking, and making people smile. He had a heart of gold and was kind to everyone he met. Billy was the kind of person you simply wanted to be around. When he walked into a room, everyone would shout, “Billy!” because they were genuinely happy to see him. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and a sense of joy that made people feel better just by being near him.

Above all, Billy’s greatest love was his dog, Friday. Billy loved Friday with his entire heart and soul. Their bond was extraordinary, and Friday was not simply his dog, but a beloved member of his family and one of the greatest sources of love and happiness in his life. The love Billy gave to Friday was a beautiful reflection of the enormous heart he carried within him.

Billy leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, creativity, adventure, friendship, and love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. The love he gave so freely and the joy he brought into the lives of others will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Survived by his mother Joan, his brothers Danny Cuff and Joey (Justyna) Alaimo, his aunts Anne (Mike) McDermott, Karen (late Bob) Czubakowski and Pat Hussel, his nephews Adriene and Joey, his cousins Robert, Jack, Lisa, and Shaun, and many other friends and loved ones, including his beloved dog Friday and cats Bodega and Bella.

Services will be held on Sunday, August 9 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, in Brookfield with Visitation at 12:00 PM followed by Service at 3:00 PM.
