We always looked forward to speaking with the two of you as we walked around the neighborhood, and teasing you about Yard Beautiful wanting a picture of your yard. Carl and I are so sorry for your loss. Bill was a wonderful man that we met at many Rinaldi weddings etc. including our own at the Pfister hotel .He was always smiling. I am still looking for the wonderful picture I took of you and your husband at the Perugini shower at Panos. My mom was at St Annes with your mom after her stroke and it was a long five years. I know how you feel. Sincerely Karen Rinaldi

Diane, Nothing I can say will take away the pain you’re experiencing. I just want you to know that your old coworkers at the Detective Bureau care deeply about you and share in your sadness. Your husband was such a wonderful man. Someone who shared so much life and love with you will always remain a part of you, and bonds like the one you and Bill had are truly forever. It was such a privilege and an honor to work with Bill. He was an incredibly smart and thoughtful detective—an outstanding mentor who touched so many lives. He will live on in our hearts and memories always. Denise and John, I’m a firm believer that when we lose someone so close to us—like a father—they continue to live on through us and give us unbelievable strength. They remain so connected to us that they truly become part of who we are. You will continue to have conversations with your dad: aloud as you drive alone in your car, or silently as you reflect on life. You’ll be gently reminded of him when you see his mannerisms in strangers or hear his familiar phrases echoed by family members. We believe in the Mass of the Resurrection, and we are certain your father is now in heaven.
