William “Bill” Kelley, age 85, took his final bow on October 29, 2024, at his home, surrounded by loved ones, a lifetime supply of birdhouses, and a war memorabilia collection that could rival a small museum.
Bill was best known as Mr. Bill, the beloved Head Custodian at Ben Franklin Elementary School in Menomonee Falls. His legendary ability to turn even the messiest of classrooms into pristine spaces was matched only by his talent for crafting birdhouses that would make any feathered friend envious.
He is survived by his daughter Susan A. Meyer (Kelley), son-in-law Samuel N. Meyer, and granddaughter Samantha J. Montini (Meyer), who, alongside her husband Anthony, will ensure that Bill’s legacy of love and laughter continues with his great-grandchildren Reagan, Broderick, McKinley, and Frankie. He is also survived by his brother Lee P. Kelley, wife Marge, and their children.
Bill welcomed his departure as a loving friend, knowing he’d be reunited with his late wife Sandra J. Kelley (McCormick), son Lee Pat Kelley, son Michael J. Kelley, granddaughter Nicole L. Meyer, and god-son/nephew Joe Kelley.
Rest in peace, Bill. May your next adventure be filled with love, laughter, and a never-ending supply of wood to work with.
As Bill would often say, “Nice seeing ya, got to go, bye.”
Visitation will be held on Thursday November 7, 2024 at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a service at 4:00 PM. Bill will be buried on Friday November 8th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 1325 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin. We encourage all to wear their best Packer’s gear.
