William H. Lurvey, known to family and friends as Bill, passed away on April 29, 2026 at the age of 87. He was a devoted husband, father, and lifelong outdoorsman who found his greatest joy in nature and in the company of his loved ones.
Bill had been a resident of Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living in Waukesha and was originally from Dousman. He carried with him a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Rita Lurvey; his children, William J. Lurvey and Rebecca Lurvey; his daughters-in-law, Pamela and Danielle; his grandchildren, William, Benjamin, Amber, Crystal, Jamie, Barbara, and Emma; his 8 great grandchildren and his siblings, Donald Lurvey and Ilene Kronschnabel.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lurvey; his parents, William and Blanche Lurvey; and his brother, James Lurvey.
Bill was a proud and dedicated family man whose greatest happiness came from spending time with his family.
An avid outdoorsman, Bill especially enjoyed hunting and camping. He cherished his time in the woods and created many lasting memories through his love of nature. He was known for his steady presence, strong values, and quiet strength.
Bill will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation of the outdoors. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
