Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Charlotte (nee Micelli) for 58 years. Cherished dad of Christine (Keith) La Marre and William (Kim Zittel) Schleif. Loving grandpa of Alexander and Nicholas La Marre. Thoughtful family to Mark, Sarah, Jessie, and Samantha. He will also be missed by Layla, Nadia, Madison, and Mia. Bill leaves behind many other family and friends.

 

Bill was a proud firefighter for the city of Milwaukee for 32 years. He raced Badger Midgets and USAC from 1959 to 1963 which led to a lifetime of great memories.

 

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM. Service will begin at 12:00 PM.
