William August Schultz

Passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2015, surrounded by family, after complications of cancer, at age 66.

Bill was the loving husband of Susan (nee Dawe). Devoted father to Will (Jennifer) Schultz and Jenny (Michael) MacReady. Doting grandfather of John William, Samuel James and Anna Catherine Schultz. Dear brother to Ruth (Ed) Carter, and brother-in-law to Sally (Rev. Richard) Miller and Peggy (Michael) Miller. Special uncle to eight nieces and nephews, good friend to many, and much-loved teacher during his 30+ year career in the Wauwatosa School District.

Bill once said that his wife and family were the center of his universe, and the way he cared for them made him a role model husband, father and grandfather. Bill was known for his kindness, patience, empathy, and genuine interest he took in others. He also dearly loved spending summer days with Sue in Egg Harbor, WI, and acting as proud ambassador at Jenny and Mike’s bakery.

Preceding Bill in death are his parents, Rev. William and Ruth (Preisig) Schultz, and his infant sister Mary Kay.

Bill’s family would like to thank his wonderful health care team, including Doctors Sanchez, Tanel and Quebbeman, and hospice nurses Amy and Lynn.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 17, at the Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, with visitation from 9:00-10:45 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM service.
