A private family celebration service will be held to celebrate Walter.

Walter E. Anderson, age 80 passed away on January 5, 2025 at home with family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Walter was born on January 12, 1944 in Marquette Michigan to the late Edward and Carol Anderson. Walter spent his formative years living in Brookfield Wisconsin where he spent most of his hard working career at Harley Davidson in varying levels of responsibility. He was well respected and known as a hard working, get it done guy.

The Upper Peninsula of Michigan was his life long love, and he shared this love with his entire family at camp doing northwoods activities. Many of the activities he loved doing at camp were taught and passed down to his kids, grandkids and family friends. Walter was also known by many as a fix anything guy. His life-long learning and experiences allowed him to have the skills and knowledge to create tools to help fix anything, if a tool was needed he’d sneak into the basement and make it.

Walter is survived by his loving wife Patricia, his children Peter (Gina), Michelle (Errin), Keri (Christopher), and grandchildren Molly, Henry, Maya, Declan, Harrison, and Nolan. Walter is further survived by his sister Judith (Gilbert) Martin.

I just learned about Walt's death. We were next door neighbors in Marquette for about 20 years. We played as kids and shared interests in cars and anything with a motor. He was also a neighbor in Gwinn where we had cottages.
