Virgil John Jones, age 93, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024. Virgil was born March 11, 1931 in Medora, Illinois to Harry and Esther Jones. He graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Finance/Accounting. Virgil married his high school sweetheart, Joyce (Dunn), in August 1953. They were married for 60 years. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of Virgil. I tried calling him on his birthday but was informed he no longer resided at Dickson Hollow. I sold my car, couldn’t drive after my knee replacement and have wet macular degeneration, getting injections in both eyes every five weeks. Hope you are doing well.

It was such a pleasure to get to know both Virgil and Joyce, and witness their devotion to each other and their family.
