Passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at the age of 98. Preceded in death by husband Andrew Spiel. Dear friend of the Meka and Grimscheid families. My family will miss Vi. I remember as a teenager often staying up late talking to her at the kitchen table until 2 am. I admire how good she was with her money...frugal in her spending and investing it mostly in real estate in West Bend, Naples, Cape Coral, FL as well as a securities portfolio. We shared this interest as I made investing my profession. She bought the house on Beckett for a bargain when it was rundown. I have fond memories of remodeling it with my dad Jerry.

Dearest Vi was an inspiration to me early on with stories of her life as a cook at a logging camp in Canada. As an outdoorsman, she was an excellent cook and a wonderful person to our family over 50 years.
