(Nee Jeschko) Born into eternal life on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at age 97. Vi was preceded in death by her best friend and husband Robert, and her beloved daughter Gay Simonet. Survived by her daughter Terry Bevirt, nieces, nephews, their children and grandchildren, and many friends that she met through her love of sports.
Burial services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 11:00AM at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Born in Cudahy, Vi spent the majority of her time in Wauwatosa raising her family, and living her life to the fullest. Vi and Robert both enjoyed golf and spent many summers playing in Arkansas, as well as traveling the country. Following the deaths of Vi’s husband and daughter, her faith in God and her spirit for adventure propelled her into the next stage of her life. At 78 years old, she moved to California with Terry, made new golfing friends, traveled the world and had her second hole-in-one! The culmination at 90 years old was a trip to Atlanta to see The Masters from Amen Corner, the 12th hole. She so enjoyed herself with her daughter Terry.
Her final move was to Florida with her daughter where she would sit outside and read mysteries and watch the local wildlife in the pond when she wasn’t watching golf or football. Vi tracked every football team and made her weekly picks to compare her scores against Chris Collingsworth.
