It's hard to put into words what someone meant to you when you've known them for 4 decades. Vic welcomed me into his family, and into his circle of friends. For someone like me, well, I haven't the words to convey the depth of feeling that's required. We were pals, buddies. In the deepest sense of those meanings in the realm of men. There was little we didn't relate to one another at various times. Oh there were things we held back, the most personal things that are saved for someone like a wife or a confessor, but other than those few things, well, we talked. I watched his kids grow up, and then watched as his grandchildren came into life. He shared all this with me, and I will be eternally grateful. He was my friend, my brother from another mother. He was my bud. I love him and will miss him greatly.
