My Dearest Velina,
It’s been 10 months since you’ve been on my mind, in my spirit, and in my heart. Every single day, I’ve thought of you, literally, without fail. You’ve even visited me in my dreams, recurring visions that leave me waking with a heavy heart and a throbbing ache at the top of my head, as if my soul is trying to reach out to yours across realms.
Last night, I searched tirelessly for your number, your contact, any way to reconnect with you. But instead, I found your obituary. My heart shattered into a thousand pieces. The grief is overwhelming, Velina. I just found out what happened to you, and I’m struggling to process it all. I miss you so much it hurts. You were such a light in my life, and now that light feels dimmed, though I know your spirit shines brighter than ever in heaven.
I take comfort in knowing you’re with my father now, watching over us from above. I’ll carry your memory with me forever, and I’ll hold onto the love we shared until the day I return home and see you again. Until then, rest peacefully, my dear Velina. You are forever loved, forever cherished.

Velina … My Vee , I literally have no words of expression to explain how my heart feels! I was one of the first people you met coming into Milwaukee! My heart is broken in pieces knowing I will not see you again. Knowing all the memories we have are all the memories we are going to make don’t sit right with me! But I love you and your children! I’m grateful I had the chance to be called your friend! I miss you and I love you! To the family there is nothing I can say to make this loss easier but please know my heart is with each and everyone of you !
