Veena Rani Gupta, 77, of New Berlin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.
Veena was born in 1946, in Lucknow India, to Shri Dujender and Smt. Kamala Gupta. She grew up with her 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Veena graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education, and worked as a lecturer most of her life. Veena was married to Shri Satish Kumar Gupta on January 16, 1967. They celebrated nearly 56 years of marriage before his passing on Feb 27, 2023. She was a loving mother of four children.
Veena was happiest when she was with her family. She always loved it when family and friends stopped in for a visit and made sure they had plenty of food and chai. Visitors commented on her bright and ready smile. She was passionate about helping those around her be strong, independent leaders both in the family and in the community. She inspired her children, siblings, and students to thrive. Her mottos were Good, better, best. Never let it rest until your good is better and your better is best.

Veena is survived by her children, Ashu Gupta, Delhi, India, Charu Saxena (Manish), Delhi, India, Sukumar Gupta (Kristin) New Berlin, WI, and Gopika Gupta (Varun) Delhi, India. 7 grandchildren, Ketan (Tanya), Hans, Aarav, Sarah, Aryan, Garv, and Kaytie, and a great grandchild; two brothers, Deshratan, Vidhiaratan, three sisters Anita, Manju, and Rita, and many nieces, nephews, and friends from around the world.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Shri Satish Kumar Gupta, and 2 sisters; Malti and Sarooj.
A very special thank you goes to her loving care giver of 2 years, Deisi. Her dedicated and loving care during the past 2 years will always be treasured. She was such a special friend and confidant to Veena in her last years of life.
A visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, at 2:00 p.m., CST on Monday, April 22, 2024 followed by a Hindu Cremation ceremony at 3 p.m., CST, Priest Shri. Jagadish Acharya Ji will be performing the service.
A luncheon will follow at her son, Sukumar’s home in New Berlin following the cremation.
