Thomas “Tom” Richard Dekarske

Thomas “Tom” Richard Dekarske of New Berlin passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025 at the age of 78. Born on July 11, 1947, in Wisconsin Rapids, he was the oldest child of Richard Walter Dekarske and Marian Hazel Dekarske (nee Kroening).

He is survived by his wife Sherilyn Ann Dekarske (nee Wehner), his sister, Marilyn (John) Gibbs of Chesterfield, MO and his brother, Robert (Sally) Dekarske of Savannah, GA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William (Wendy) Dekarske of Waterloo, IA.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff of Elizabeth Residence in New Berlin and Badger Hospice of Brookfield who cared for Tom with great compassion and skilled professionalism.

Visitation will be held on January 21, 2026, at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin from 1:00 PM – 2:45 PM. Memorial service at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, to HAWS (Human Animal Welfare Society) of Waukesha or to a charity of your choice.
