I wanted to share one of the many good and funny times Tom and I had, and there was many. Everyday I saw him I enjoyed seeing and talking with him, but one particular incident always comes to mind and it makes me laugh every time. Back in 2020, when I was just getting to know Tom better, Tom used to drive me to Meijer's after Barb had ordered their groceries online. One time we were having a problem when we got there. I would call to let them know we were there and they would bring the groceries out to us. Well, they said they had no record of that order, because we found out it goes by phone number, and I had used my phone to call. So we tried again and used Tom and Barbs home phone number, still no order. So we called Bard at home and asked her when she called in the order, and found out she had used her cell phone. Ok, problem solved. We called again and gave the right number, they said they would be right out with our groceries. They came out, and I rolled down my window, and they asked, "are you Barb"? I looked at Tom and he smiled, and I looked back at the girl with the groceries and said, "yes, I am". Tom sort of gave me a funny look, but didn't say anything. She put the groceries in the back of the car, and the minute she was out of sight, Tom and I burst out laughing. I said to Tom," I'm sorry, but I wasn't going to have any more problems with this order!" He said that's ok but we have to tell Barb that story. We did when we got back and we all laughed about it. Many good times and talks with Tom and I will never forget him and am so glad that his and my life crossed paths. It was meant to be!
