Susan Marie Koepsell

(Nee Suetmeier) Born in Milwaukee, December 29, 1946.

There are no words to express our dismay and grief over Susan’s sudden death at her home in Glendale on February 25, 2017. Susan graduated from West Division High School and Cardinal Stritch. Susan’s life was rich, filled with wonderful family and friends, travel, and laughter. She was a caring and compassionate woman who spent hours researching a friend’s allergy, finding a solution for someone in need, and supporting charities. Susan was a founding member of Professional Dimension when she worked at National Investment Services and currently served on the board of Zonta International’s Milwaukee chapter. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Simonis; nieces Corey (Michael Sabby) Ficht, Chris (Greg) Johnson, Cathy Ament, and her nephew, Don Ficht; longtime companion, Jane; as well as dozens of friends in Milwaukee and Seattle. She now joins those who passed before including her mother and beloved brother-in-law, Greg Simonis. Susan’s message on her voice mail would be “Don’t leave a message; Memsahib has gone on a long safari.” That is the way we shall remember her.
