Born into Eternal Life on January 28, 2021, Stan was a true family man who believed in moral values and ethics, including honesty, kindness, and forgiveness. He was full of grace and mercy, and always humble. He had a very strong faith in God and he truly valued his faith with great devotion. Stan lead by gentle example. He smiled, he loved to laugh and was humorous. Stan was born in Buffalo, NY, and attended St Mary’s School for the Deaf. He worked as a machinist for Westinghouse in Buffalo, NY. He married the love of his life, Esther in 1952, and together they had 3 daughters. In 1967 they moved to Milwaukee, WI, where Stan worked as a machinist at Badger Meter until his retirement in 1993. He had many interests such as sculpting, oil painting, woodworking, sign painting, traveling, and visiting family and friends. Stan was a member of the Ephphatha Chapter of the International Catholic Deaf Association and the deaf community at St Matthias Catholic Church in Milwaukee for years, thus increasing many meaningful friendships made along the way.
Beloved Husband of Esther Sadowski (nee Nettesheim) for 68 years. Preceded in death by his parents Stanley Sadowski and Mary (nee Sobiesiak) Sadowski. Dear brother of Esther Sokol (nee Sadowski). Preceded in death by many wonderful in-laws and dear friends. Loving Father of Frances (Tom) Knoll, Judith (George) Fillmore, Kathleen (Scott) Odin (formerly Draveling). Cherished grandfather of Sarah (Robin) Luce (nee Knoll), Daniel Knoll, Christopher Fillmore, Joshua (Sara) Draveling, Jessica (Jon) Beck (nee Draveling), Rachel Draveling. Step Grandfather of Elizabeth (Mark) Baird (nee Draveling), Leo (known as Champ) (Monica) Draveling, Isabella Odin, and Clarissa Odin. Proud Great-grandfather of 9 (soon to be 10) great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren. Further survived by Jamie and Jeremy Leskow-Kallas, who have been wonderful caregivers and friends. The family can’t thank them enough for all their help, especially over the last several years.
Stan will be deeply missed by all.
Visitation to take place on Monday, February 15, 2021, at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin at 11:00 AM followed by a Catholic Mass at 12:00 PM and burial at Pine Lawn Cemetery, 10700 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
