Sharon was a loving wife to Norman Ryczek (deceased), and nurturing mother to their three sons. She lived a blessed life, was a compassionate person with strong values, she deeply loved her family, friends and neighbors.
Sharon is survived by sons Scott Patrick, Stephen James (Barbara), Gregory John, her brother George Thum, sister in-law Ruth Ann Rheingans and grandchildren Joshua, Nicholas, Marcus, Alexander, Christopher, Benjamin, Josephine, Holly, Kristen and Sarah in addition to great grandchildren Jethro, Canyon, Olivia (pictured) and Ezra.
Born in Menomonee, Michigan to Marjorie Thum and John Rose, Sharon grew up in Crivitz, Wisconsin with her brothers George and Tom, tending to her family’s Twin Bridge Resort and home. As a child she loved riding horses with her grandfather Gus, swimming, ice skating, and caring for her Cocker Spaniel, Taffy. She graduated from Crivitz High School where she played tuba for the inauguration of the new Lambeau Field.
Moving to Milwaukee for college, she soon met, then married Norman in 1962, who she inspired a great passion for fishing and nurtured a love of the Northwoods and outdoors, passed on to their children and grandchildren.
Sharon’s inner strength, optimism and spirituality guided her through challenging times including husband Norman’s passing in 1976, leaving her to raise three rambunctious sons and also in her ability to successfully beat a 2015 Cancer diagnosis.
