Sharon “Suzy Mary” Stone
Sharon M. Hapka, 82, New Berlin (West Allis) entered peacefully into eternal life on Sunday October 15th 2023.
Beloved wife of Anthony; Treasured Mother to Lisa Bailey(Jim) and Joseph Hapka (Robert); Proud Grandma to Miranda Bailey-Gomaz (Nick) and Erin Bailey. Dear Grandma Sharon to Sheri Rockwell(Corey) and two great grandchildren (Nora and Max). Cherished Sister to Shirley Hapka (John) and Sharlene Chapman (George), Special Aunt and God Mother to many nieces and nephews – and many other family members and friends. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Eleanor, her sister Shirley, along with many other special and loved family members.
From an early age, Sharon valued time with her family, especially her sisters. Sharon was very musically inclined and learned to play multiple instruments with great skill. In later years, she encouraged this interest in both her children as well. A graduate of Whitewater High School (1959) and St. Anthony School of Nursing (1962), Sharon proudly worked for many years as a Charge Nurse in an ER. She also cared for others as an RN working with individuals with disabilities and the elderly.
Sharon enjoyed many years of quality time with her family and in later years a long and happy retirement with her husband. Sharon’s favorite past times were loving all the fur babies, countless celebrations-especially holidays, outings and activities, all with her family. She enjoyed sporting events and concerts – especially those of her Children and Grandchildren. She was always the #1 fan. Sharon’s caring and nurturing nature was truly applied to all areas of her life, especially to her loved ones. The extraordinary love shared between Sharon and her husband Tony, was a beautiful example of joy, support, humor, care, faith, trust, hard work and appreciation, that was obvious to all who new them.
In addition to all of Sharon’s accomplishments, her most cherished job was always being a Mom, and in later years, a Grandma. Her never ending love, support, protection, healing, friendship and humor all added up to truly unique and cherished relationships. Always being a cheerleader, mending broken hearts, and always giving guidance and a feeling of safety and security.
Sharon’s sense of humor was always infectious and enjoyed by all those around her – always bringing smiles and laughter. Sharon truly lived her life with an open mind, loving heart, and never-ending-faith. Her generosity and care had a beautiful impact on everyone she knew.
