Selma “Sally” Repaty

Selma “Sally” RepatyOur dear mother/grandmother/great-grandmother passed away on December 10, 2010, at the age of 84 after a brief hospitalization. She was born in Gillette, Wisconsin but lived most of her life in Milwaukee.Sally’s greatest legacy is the loving home she created for her husband, Rudy, and three daughters, Sharon Petersen, Lyn Repaty and Judy Teich. She taught us by example to value beauty, humor, kindness, respect and a strong work ethic. She was a loving and thoughtful mother-in-law to Dave Petersen, Ken Roddy and Jim Teich. She loved family meals, her polka music, and getting together with her dear surviving sisters and brother as well as her large extended family and friends.The light in her life came from her “California” grandchildren, Eric Petersen and Scott (Lindy) Petersen; and especially from her great-grandchildren, David Petersen and Taylor Petersen. She never tired of showing their pictures or sharing their stories with anyone who would sit still long enough. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Sally’s Life will be held at Krause Funeral Home on April 2, 2011. An announcement with details will be placed in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel closer to that time.
