Rose Marie Kreutzer, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed peacefully on June 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with bile duct cancer. Born on January 8, 1940, in Norway, Michigan, Rose was the cherished daughter of the late Louis and Mary Guzzonato. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and a deep commitment to family.
Rose grew up in a small, close-knit community where she cultivated lifelong friendships and a strong sense of family values. She graduated from Messmer High School in 1958, where she was known for her bright smile and compassionate spirit—qualities that would define her throughout her life.
In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 22, 1961, Rose married the love of her life, Ronald Kreutzer. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Together, they nurtured a family that would become her greatest pride and joy. Though Ronald predeceased her, their bond remained an enduring example of true love.
Rose was the devoted mother to Jeff (Mary) Kreutzer and Cheryl Weyek (John Wheeler), whose lives she enriched with her wisdom and kindness. She was the proud grandmother to Nicole (Sam) Helm, Brent Kreutzer, the late Cassidy Weyek, Jasmine (Zach) Straus, and Grayson Weyek, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. Her legacy continues through her precious great-granddaughters, Sadie and Maisie Helm, who were the light of her later years.
Family was at the heart of everything Rose did. She was the glue that held them together, always ready with a listening ear, a warm hug, or a hearty laugh. Her home was a sanctuary filled with love, comfort, and the smell of her famous lasagna. Rose found joy in the simple pleasures of life—gardening in her beautiful flower-filled backyard, walking her dog, Benji, and cheering on the Brewers and Packers.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and gave her strength in times of hardship. Rose was a devoted member of her community and a friend to many. She touched countless lives with her generosity and unwavering kindness.
Rose is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of over six decades, Ronald, her sister Carole Young, and her granddaughter Cassidy Weyek. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI 53072, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, 9-10:45AM. Mass at 11AM. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery-Milwaukee.
