Rose Marie “Toots” Baum (nee Morse) entered eternal life on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the age of 88. Devoted wife of Allen “Butch” Baum for 58 years who preceded her in death on May 30, 2019. Kind mother of Nancy (Eric Volkmann) and Scott (Julie) Baum. Sister of Richard, Harry, Cindi, and Lynda. Preceded in death by brother Robert. Also survived by other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Rose was a homemaker and active gardener. After her children were grown, she transitioned to being a mom for newborn babies working full-time at KinderCare. Rose spent her later years in assisted living eventually moving to Three Pillars Senior Living Communities in Dousman, WI. The family would like to thank the staff of Three Pillars and Allay Home Hospice for the care she received as she was popular and loved by many.  Thank you to the parish members of Holy Apostles Catholic Church in New Berlin, Wisconsin who sent cards and prayers to Rose while in assisted living.

Visitation will be held at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 16000 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Visitation from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. After Mass, a luncheon will be served in the church reception hall. Burial to follow the next day on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Oak Hill Cemetery, 1725 North Washington Street, Janesville, Wisconsin at 11:00 AM. For those planning to attend, meet at the main office, to go in procession to the final resting place.

for many years in my high school Junior and Senior years, toots and Butch took me into their home. I enjoyed babysitting for Nancy and Scott as little ones until I moved to Florida in 1966. It was a great place and peaceful while Gran and Gramps moved to Florida before me!
