Rosalie Zovi
(nee Horne) Rosalie Zovi, 85 was born to eternal life on November 21, 2023, in Milwaukee, WI. She was born September 5, 1938, as the sixth of seven children of Henrik “Pete” and Mathilda Horne.
She is preceded in death by her husband Frank, with whom she lived in Milwaukee for their entire married life.
Rosalie is survived by her brother Robert (the late Dee Dee) Horne, brother-in-law Patrick (the late Kathleen, Rosalie’s sister) Maher and sister-in-law Anna McMillin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence (Mary) Horne and Vincent (Donna) Horne; sisters, Dolores (Robert) Kaminski, Geraldine (Joseph) Shiltz, ; brother-in-law John Zovi; and nephews.
Rosalie lived her entire life on the north side of Milwaukee and was a 1956 graduate of St. John’s Cathedral High School. She had a long career at Wisconsin Bell and retired in 1986. She was a woman of strong faith and an enduring supporter of her Catholic parish as well as numerous charities. Rosalie maintained a lifelong and loving devotion to her large family. She prayed daily for family and friends and made it a priority to help those in need. She always enjoyed visits and outings with family and friends. Rosalie loved her Wisconsin sports teams and enjoyed a good game of sheepshead. Her wit and sense of humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation Friday, December 15, 2023, from 11:15 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Milwaukee. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
