Rosalie “Bo” Doehling (nee Purpero)
Passed on May 13 at age of 76. Born April 27, 1949. Beloved wife of Tom Doehling for 42 years. Loving mother of Nick Doehling, Megan Fisher (Brent Manor), and proud Gramma of Charlotte Fisher. Further survived by sister Phillie Purpero, brother Charles Purpero (Sandra Scaffidi), and nephews Miles and Dylan Robles. Preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Rose Mary Purpero, mother-in-law Maryann Doehling, sister-in-law Kathleen Doehling, and brother-in-law Rick Blomstrom.
Bo attended Pulaski High School and UW-Oshkosh (where the city survived the “BoBonnie Plague”). She graduated from UWM with a degree in Accounting. Along the way, Bo worked at numerous locations – most notably County Clare Irish Inn and Pub and Liberty Accounting.
Bo loved kites, hot air balloons, and giraffes. She loved playing sheepshead with her college friends (or whoever would play). Most of all she loved being “Glamma” to Charlotte.
Bo was a music lover. She went to the Beatles concert in Milwaukee on September 4, 1964. Her favorites were Bruce Springsteen (Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out), Rod Stewart and The Rolling Stones.
Bo will be remembered as a strong willed, generous, and loving person. Missed by many, remembered by all.
Thanks to the staff at Elizabeth Residence Franklin for the care she received and to Badger Hospice for comforting her in her final days. Special thanks to lifelong friend Bonnie Romanowich for all the love and support she gave Bo.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 3 at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM followed by services by Fr. Timothy Kitzke at 6:00 PM.
