John and Patty Conklin left a message on January 17, 2026:
Dear Pam and Keith, We are incredibly saddened to hear of Ron’s passing and we definitely have numerous fond memories of him. We will always remember his generous leadership with Cub Scout Pack 56. He did so much for both the scouts and the parents. Ron was great at arbitration during those intense Pinewood Derby races! Always leading with patience and kindness. We also truly appreciated you and Ron for hosting many sleepovers and excursions (water parks, geocaching, etc.) - ensuring that having fun was always a top priority. I personally enjoyed the "dad-centered" conversations Ron and I shared during neighborhood parties and events for our sons. I will especially remember his positiveness and guidance during an extremely cold winter weekend at the Cub Scout campout. Somehow, Ron made sure everything went well despite the weather. Again leading with patience and kindness. To us, Ron was an excellent role model for being a dedicated husband and father. Please know that we are thinking of you both and sending you strength during this difficult time. With our deepest sympathies, John and Patty Conklin

My deepest condolences on Ron’s passing. I will always admire and aspire to his generosity of spirit, especially with kids. Growing up with him as a rec coach, trip leader, and numerous other things was always such a blessing. He made you laugh all while teaching life lessons. I still think fondly of the fish he caught, prepped, and grilled over the fire for us on the BWCA trip. Sending my love.

I had the pleasure to work with Pam and Ron training their beloved dog Ruby. Ron loved Ruby which was clear through his passion while training with her but what was more clear was his love and devotion to his beloved wife Pam. Ron will forever be missed and I'm grateful to have had the pleasure to meet and work with him.
