Roman Schmalz, of Milwaukee, WI. Born to Eternal Life on Monday, May 30, 2022 at age 94.
He was born on July 1st, 1927 in Bellarus. He came to the United States in 1956 with his wife, Edith. He was an engineer, working for Allis Chalmers and then Logemann Brothers Company, eventually serving as VP of Engineering at the latter for nearly 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Edith, parents Johann and Helene, brother Jan and his sisters, Adele and Stani. Loving father of Michael (Eileen) Schmalz, Thomas Schmalz and Steven (Yvonne) Schmalz. Proud Opa of Michael (Tara), Brian and Peter (Sara) Schmalz. Cherished Uropa of Elliott, Theodore and Olivia. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Roman enjoyed building his lake cottage in northern Wisconsin and experiencing nature there. He was a consummate engineer who found purpose in inventing and repairing all sorts of contraptions and devices both in his professional and personal life. He was a dedicated, honest man and a good soul. He will always be a part of our lives.
Memorial Gathering at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday, June 23 from 4:00 PM to 5:45 PM. Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 PM.
