Roger Klonecki, 84 – April 25, 1941 – June 21, 2025
With deep love and fond remembrance, we celebrate the life of Roger “Rog” Klonecki, who passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, at the age of 84.
Born on April 25, 1941, in Arcadia, Wisconsin, Roger was the second of seven children. Raised on the family farm, he developed a strong work ethic, a love of the outdoors, and an unwavering bond with his hometown. He was an all-state athlete at “RKD” high and made frequent return trips to Arcadia to visit family, attend events, and share in the tradition of deer hunting with close friends and relatives.
Rog moved to Milwaukee as an adult to build a meaningful career and create a loving home with Sharon. He graduated from Marquette University in 1972 and went on to carve out a long and distinguished career at Miller Brewing. Fiercely loyal to his colleagues and the company, he returned after retirement as a consultant, a second act he relished for the camaraderie and purpose it offered.
Rog was a man who reveled in the successes of others. Whether teaching a colleague, supporting family, or simply cheering from the sidelines, he found joy in helping others shine. His lifelong goal was simple and selfless: to work hard so others could succeed.
He was lovingly cared for by his devoted wife of 58 years, Sharon, whose strength and compassion surrounded him in his final chapter. His children, Tom (Lisa) Klonecki and Ann (Dan) Tesmer, and grandchildren—Matthew, Kate, Danny, and Megan—were the lights of his life.
Known affectionately as “Uncle Rog” or “Papa,” he had an unwavering commitment to making every moment special. At every family gathering, he made sure the freezer was stocked—because every kid, in his view, deserved two scoops of ice cream, not one. That simple gesture captured his spirit: generous, joyful, and deeply loyal.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Leona and Clifford; siblings Eugene and Richard; sister-in-law Ellie; Brandi Allen and Tobi Klonecki. He leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including siblings, Betty, Ann, Donna, Gary, and more than 20 nieces and nephews who adored their “Uncle Rog,” the one who always had a treat in his pocket and a sparkle in his eye.
