Robert “Bob” W. Pelczar

Bob passed away peacefully at home on November 12, 2024, at the age of 84. Bob was born on April 9, 1940, to Clara and Joe Pelczar in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from Custer High School and attended Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) and achieved an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Mechanical Technology. He started his career at Falk Corporation and then at Morgan Design as an engineer. He was also a teacher at the MATC for tool design and drafting. He worked most of his career at Harley-Davidson Motorcycles in Milwaukee for 27 years and retired in the fall of 2004.

Bob spent his retirement years repairing things and tinkering in the garage with all the tools he found at swap meets. He enjoyed restoring his 1965 Ninety-Eight Oldsmobile, digging in the garden and spending time with his family. He loved to attend the Iola Car Show and the Jefferson car show every year where he displayed his prized possession. He loved to spend time in the yard and enjoy a dip in the pool at home on hot summer days with an exotic porter beer in his hand. He was a jack of all trades and loved the challenge in fixing almost anything. He enjoyed camping with his family and visiting National Parks all over the United States.

Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years Susan Pelczar, son Daniel Pelczar, daughter Jennie (Greg Gruber) Pelczar. He is also loved by brother-in-law Barry Kusik, sister-in-law Gemma Jacobson and sister-in-law Judy Jacobson in addition to many cousins, nieces, nephews and  family friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Clara and Joe Pelczar, mother and father-in-law Edna and William Jacobson, sister Barbara Kusik, brother in laws Kenny Jacobson, Richard Jacobson, Norman Jacobson and sister in law Tony Jacobson.

Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the many doctors and nurses at St Luke’s hospital in Milwaukee and the entire Aurora at Home and hospice staff who fought to extend his life to the end.

Visitation will be at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM. Memorial Service at 12:00 PM.
