Dear Doc,
It would only take a few moments of talking with you to realize what an incredibly special person you were. There’s a genuineness about you that was captivating and drew us in. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye. There is a quiet sadness moving through us,now and a longing for just one more day. So, for now, we'll take solace in the memories of good times, like interesting stories that you were “pretty sure” were true, getting together for a BBQ or a beer or both, playing horseshoes and corn hole and ladder ball, bonfires that almost start the yard on fire and laughing until we were crying. In memory of a life so beautifully lived and a heart so deeply loved. So long until we meet again.
