Robert “Bob” Maroszek found peace on February 4, 2024, at the age of 73. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Mary Ellen (Newsom), his sons Jason (Cori) and Ryan (Melissa). Proud Papa of Alyssa, Hayley, AJ, Micah, Xander and Step-Papa of Sadira Harris. Preceded in death by his parents Sylvester & Jean Maroszek.

Brother to Karen (Bob) Mietus, Kathy Duffy, Camille (Jim) Williams, Clare (Joe) Alvarez-Manilla. Unforgettable and loved in-law of Mae Newsom, Larry (Margaret), Carol, Dorothy, Dan (Debbie) and Dave (Sheryl) and many more relatives and friends, including Cesar Ruelas.

Bob founded Maroszek Construction, Inc. in 1978 a highly successful company doing driveways, patios and other exterior residential work for a large customer base in the area. He worked side by side with his sons Jason and Ryan for the past 25 years, sharing his passion, knowledge and expertise.

Bob brought laughter and fun to everything … weekly poker games, golfing, entertaining friends and family and watching “anything” sports. He enjoyed reminiscing at the monthly luncheon with his high school buddies.

Bob’s love for basketball was evident by the many years he coached various high school teams. The highlight of his career was coaching Messmer High School and winning the State Championship in 1995 with talented players that he had the pleasure of mentoring and continued to be part of their lives.

Thanks to everyone who walked along side Bob in this 2 ½ year cancer journey. Your friendship, visits, phone calls and support meant everything to him. Special thanks to Dr. McGartland and all the St. Luke’s oncology nurses and staff, Aurora Home Hospice and especially Kerry Duffy for her compassionate at home care.

Visitation at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 12700 West Howard Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin 53151 on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Funeral Mass 1:00 PM.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Bob and I coached together at West Allis Central. Bob definitely a great role model, person and coach. He would always make me laugh with his impressions. He will dearly be missed.

The first impression I had of Bob was at the Washington County Golf Course, a few years ago while golfing with the Brown Deer senior men’s club. Bob’s cart mate was an elderly man who was visibly and verbally quite anxious about golfing with his physical and vision limitations. Bob kindly comforted and supported him stating “Don’t worry I’ll watch your ball and help you. We will be fine!” Bob Shines! Condolences

Bob was our favorite patient. Everyone loved Bob. He was our social butterfly in the clinic. He talked to other patients which reduced their stress. A great guy who will be truly missed. Condolences to the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful person. He was very honest and loving person. He did a wonderful job on my patio and driveway and the entrances to my home. My prayers are with you and your family.

My sincere condolences to Mary Ellen, Jason, Ryan and the rest of the family. Bob's passing will be felt by everyone that knew him and loved him. He was a kind, generous and gentle man that never met a stranger. I will always cherish Bob's friendship and the time we spent together. Rest in peace Bob until we meet again.

Bob was a great friend and classmate from high school he always had great stories to tell at are monthly lunches with all his high school buddies. E also was a great husband and father to his sons and grandchildren he well be truly missed by all.

Bob and his sons put in a beautiful stamped concrete patio in my backyard and a very nice driveway on my property 23 years ago. He did very good work and was very nice to deal with. So sorry to see the sad news.

Having grown up with Bob in the 50's and 60's along the KK River Pkwy and Fillmore Dr corredor I can honestly say that I cherish my memories of Bob. From playing baseball at Mitchell Manor, ice skating at the flooded field there and skating down the "crick", playing football and "ditch" in the woods, to vacationing with his family in Two Rivers, WI. Bob was one of the good guys and a great friend. RIP Robert. Jim Starck

My brother, who was the child just older than I, inspired me in many ways. I am so glad that I was able to travel cross country and spend time with him in January. I witnessed firsthand his zest for life and determination not to allow his illness to keep him from living his life to the fullest. I continue to keep our entire family, Mary Ellen, his sons and grandchildren in prayer. I said to Bob a short time before he passed away, “I will see you again.” I look forward to that day when I will be able to run to him and give him a big hug, telling him how wonderful to have him back. Until then he is resting in peace.

Everyone loves Bob is so right. I loved his wonderful smile and warm eyes and especially his fabulous sense of humor. I will miss him and my heart is heavy for Mary Ellen and all his family and friends. I’m definitely hoping he’s enjoying a cocktail and a few jokes and stories with Lee. All my sympathies go out to everyone who loved him.
