Passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Barbara for 15 years. Cherished by his step-children Shari (Brian) Coffey and Jeremy Plunkett. Adored by countless relatives, friends and colleagues.Bob was a 1971 graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and in 1975, graduated from The Medical College of Wisconsin. He was board certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Pulmonology. Bob practiced at many places including the Henry Ford Health System, Medical College of Ohio, and most recently was faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin serving the Zablocki Veterans Administration Emergency Room. He was a member of the following organizations: American College of Physicians, American College of Emergency Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians-Fellow, and the American Sleep Disorders Association. He was a passionate sailor who loved Lake Michigan and was a member of the South Shore Yacht Club. Bob was an extensive reader and history buff who also loved swimming, cycling and the Wisconsin outdoors. His boundless knowledge and rich longstanding friendships fueled his passionate and captivating conversations accompanied by his unique sense of humor.A time of remembrance will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, December 18, at 12 noon to 4PM. An open hour of tribute to Bob’s wonderful life will be held at 3PM.
