Bob grew up in South Milwaukee and on a farm in Cornell, WI. As a young man he joined the Navy and served aboard the US Destroyer Frank Knox during the Korean War. After being discharged from the Navy, he worked at various manufacturing companies throughout the Milwaukee area as a machinist. Bob retired from Harnischfeger Corporation after 28 years of service
Throughout his life Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the great outdoors. He especially cherished his time with his brother Rudy, his nephews Chad and Boomer, and the cast of characters at their land in central Wisconsin. He shared his passion of the outdoors with many members of the younger generation. Bob greatly enjoyed the camaraderie and stories shared during these adventures.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Milwaukee VA Hospital for their compassionate care of Bob.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
