Richard “Rick” Peterson

Richard “Rick” Peterson, 80, of Delafield, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. In a touching reflection of a life devoted to his family, Rick passed on the couple’s 56th wedding anniversary, a day that had marked his lifelong commitment.

Rick was born on August 19, 1945, in Burlington, Wisconsin. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, kindness, and gentle spirit. He lived with humility, always putting others first, and was known for his deep love of family and generous heart.

Rick is survived by his wife, Helen; his son, Matt (Kim) Peterson; his daughter, Ann Mary Peterson; and his grandchildren, Peyton (Sylvia) Peterson and Kamryn (Peyton) Smith.

He is also survived by his brother, Lynn (Charlotte) Peterson; his sisters, Pat (Dean) Paul and Margo (Gary) Jacob; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland, Wisconsin.

Following the Mass, a visitation and luncheon will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Golden Mast Inn, W349N5293 Lacys Lane, Okauchee, Wisconsin, to celebrate Rick’s life and share memories.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rick’s name to Journey 21 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Rick’s legacy of love, kindness, and quiet grace will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
