Richard “Rick” Friedrich passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the age of 80.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Leona Friedrich. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Debbie, his beloved children, Paul (Baret) Friedrich, Adam (Krista) Friedrich, Alex (Faith) Bertrand, and Katie (Kenny) Friedrich, and his grandchildren Florence and Finn. He is further survived by his sister Nancy Kaesy, his sister-in-law Nancy (Orville), his nieces, nephews, and a host of other friends and loved ones that will miss him dearly.

Rick was a proud veteran, with service in the Vietnam war. He held the title of Captain by the time he left the Army.

Visitation on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Additional visitation from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM, followed by service at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1615 North Wauwatosa Avenue, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
