Richard “Rich” Leager, age 80, passed away on January 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy marked by hard work, passion, and a spirited nature. Born on February 24, 1944, Rich was a man who lived life on his own terms.
Rich worked as a Glazier and was a proud, lifetime member of Local 1204. He cherished the camaraderie of his union brothers and found purpose in their shared work and community. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Rich served his country with dedication.
Rich’s passions extended to his love of the outdoors and sports. He spent countless days camping, fishing, hunting, and attending NASCAR races and Green Bay Packers games at Lambeau Field. He found joy in church festivals, community events, and time spent with friends and extended family. His greatest love, however, was always his cars. Over the years, he accumulated a variety of “adult toys,” from cars to boats to a camper, all of which reflected his adventurous spirit.
Rich was known for speaking his mind without hesitation, a trait that defined his personality and left a lasting impression on those who knew him. Though he lived a life that prioritized his own passions and pursuits, he made his mark on the world in his unique way.
A memorial service will be held to honor Richard’s life. Details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
