My sincere condolences to Randy's family. Randy was a professional who set the highest standards for success. He placed faith, family, friends and his Chicago Cubs close to his heart. Randy a lifelong learner continually challenged himself to develop his skills and knowledge regardless of the subject. Randy was well known for having excellent listening skills, and his ability to truly understand the context of the conversation allowed for his perfect response, whether it was friendly banter, advice, encouragement, and often inspiration to all that knew him. Randy will be missed.
David Wiersma left a message on July 22, 2025:
My brother was a special man. I was very proud of him. Out of all the people I have ever known he was the best at being able to recognize an issue and cut right to the solution. He was wise and helped me navigate many tough situations in my life. We often would tease each other with good natured banter. I told him once in front of a group of friends that I taught him everything he knows. He smirked and looked at me saying " No Dave, you taught me everything you know." He was right, I had no come back. He excelled at everything he did. I admired him for it and was proud he was my brother. Like everyone in his life I will miss him dearly, but strangely I find myself at peace knowing he was a firm believer in Christ and he lived it. He shared that with me and I am eternally grateful. Its real simple as he put it and again he was right, " Behavior models belief". 💖🙏🏻🕊✝️

Alison, Jeremiah & Emily, Our deepest sympathies to each of you on the passing of your sweet husband and dad, Randy. Shawn and I had the privilege of getting to know Randy & Alison several years ago through our couples small group at Shorepoint. Shawn remembers him as a man who knew God’s word well and faithfully lived it out. Randy had a humble way about him and when he spoke, he always had great insight and wisdom, often sharing from his own experience how God had impacted his life. I will always remember with a smile the time our group met virtually. Randy & Alison happily joined us online from the comfort of their own boat on Pewaukee Lake! 🚤 ☀️ Our favorite memory is when Randy & Alison had dinner with Shawn & I on the Big Island of Hawaii! We enjoyed some amazing Hawaiian cuisine and talked about our favorite tropical adventures including whale watching and spotting turtles on the beach.🏝️ 🐋 🌺 🌊 Our hearts go out to each of you as you say goodbye this week and celebrate a life well lived. Randy’s legacy will live on through you. There are nuggets of wisdom he gave each of us that we can hold on to and pass on to the next generation. His legacy of faith and perseverance will continue to inspire those who knew him. And God has promised that those in Christ will live in eternity with Him. This is our faith that accompanies our hope that one day, we will be reunited with Randy and our loved ones. So we just want to say to Randy, thank you for your faith and inspiration. We will miss your smile and sharing life with you here. But there will be a day when we will be together again, sharing another delicious meal and living like never before in the presence of our Savior. What a day that will be! So Randy, this is not goodbye, but we’ll see you again…on that great and glorious day…on the other side of heaven. 1 Cor 2:9 No eye has seen, no ear has heard,     and no mind has imagined what God has prepared     for those who love him. Randy interviewed me for my job here at Heidelberg. He came across strern and tough as my first impression. After getting to interact with him over the few years we worked together, I soon realized how good of a man he was. he asked for the best of everyone because that was what he gave. Thank you Randy for our time together and your recommendation for the opportunity. May you have God speed and rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

My condolences go out to Randy’s family. I know he loved and adored and spoke about often. I have to thank Randy as the secret to my success. He was very blunt about being true to yourself and is honest as you can be. It was never about the sale. It’s always about the relationship and if you can add value to a business.. When I retired, we discussed getting together for lunch and then life happened. It’s very unfortunate that I didn’t get to say goodbye. Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you
