(Nee Smocke) Born January 9, 1932, in Milwaukee, WI. Died peacefully on Sunday September 13, 2026, at the age of 94. Loving wife of Kenneth for 67 years. Loving mother of Brett (Susan) and Kae. She will be missed by many family members and friends. Preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Smocke and her brothers, Eugene Smocke and Robert Smocke. 

Phyllis graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and taught 4th grade in the Milwaukee Public School System for eight years.

Phyllis found joy in her family, travel, and genealogy. She had a special way of making those around her feel loved and welcomed.

She was an avid lifelong fan of the Milwaukee Braves, Brewers, Bucks, and Green Bay Packers.
Gathering will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue on Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 11:00 AM-1:45 PM. Memorial Service at 2:00 PM.

She will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, sweet laugh and the love she shared so freely with family and friends.
