Peter M. Zimmerman

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 27, 2022 at age 76. Best friend and husband of Kathy (nee Smith) for 53 years. Loving father of Amy (Carl) Schwabe and Scott Zimmerman. Proud grandpa of Ethan and Ryan Schwabe. Dear brother of Patti (Jim) Smith, the late Joann Haar, and the late Judine Varona. Cherished brother-in-law of Karen Campbell. Special uncle of Michele King, Krystal King, Lee Keller, John Keller, Anna Keller, and Jacob King. Also loved and will be missed by additional family and friends.

Peter proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Army 1st Division. He was a patriot who flew the flag at his home in honor of his country. He worked at Phoenix Products for 30 years. He enjoyed going to craft fairs and shopping with Kathy and Karen, the “3 Musketeers.” He was a friend to many and will be dearly missed.

The family would like to thank Aurora Hospice for their care of Peter.

Gathering at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM – 3:45 PM. Memorial Service at 4:00 PM with Military Honors. Interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park on Monday, September 12 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Washington County Humane Society.
