Paul Michael Dobner, 77, of Muskego, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born on October 2, 1948, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to John and Lulu Mae Dobner. He made a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues during his 40-year career as a math teacher and driver’s education instructor at New Berlin Eisenhower High School, where he retired in 2011. Paul earned both his Undergraduate and Master’s degrees in education from UW–Whitewater.
Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jo Ann Dobner (Wegner). His children Daniel (Molly McCann) Dobner, Amy (Ernest) Szepieniec, Benjamin (Richard Pues) Dobner, Jonathan (Jaime) Dobner. His grandchildren: Sarah, Jacob, Lucas, Adam, Megan, Hannah, Anna, Emily, and Zachary. His sisters, Laureen Noffke, Mary (Robert) Foye, Jean (Steve) Searls, and his brother, David (Melanie) Dobner, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, his nephew, Alan Wegner and brother-in-law, Thomas Noffke.
A Funeral Mass to honor and celebrate Paul’s life will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, with Visitation from 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM and a Mass at 12:00 PM at St. Leonards Catholic Church, W173 S7743 Westwood Drive, Muskego, Wisconsin 53150.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vision Forward and the New Berlin Education Foundation in Paul’s memory.
Though we say goodbye, Paul’s lessons, kindness, and love will continue to guide us—just as he always did.
