Patrick Testin passed away peacefully and was reunited with his beloved wife, Mardelle, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the age of 93.
He is preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Eleanor Testin. He is survived by his brothers Dennis (Norma) Testin and Larry (Kathy) Testin, his children Teri (John) Ignasiak and Wendy Testin, his grandchildren Sarah (Mitchell) Helmer and Rachel (Kyle) Zander, and his great-grandchildren Henry, Eloise, Keira, and Eamon.
Patrick was born February 7, 1932 on the family farm near Wild Rose, WI. He grew up on the farm and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He loved hunting, fishing, kayaking, and playing cards, including his favorite card game Smear. He moved to Milwaukee and began working at Allen Bradley in 1959 where he worked as a machine setter until his retirement in 1993. It is in the Milwaukee area where he met Mardelle on a blind date and they married August 6, 1960. They raised their two daughters in New Berlin and later retired to Arizona during the winter months. Their greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends, including hosting family dinners, quiet walks around the neighborhood, visiting the farm up north, attending local festivals, and traveling. Patrick took immense pride in supporting his children in all their activities, always present and encouraging. That same love extended to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, where he was a constant cheerleader and supporter of their athletic and academic achievements.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight are appreciated.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2025 with service at 12:00 PM and a luncheon to follow.
He has gone to be with the Lord, but will be forever remembered.
