Patty Kopp left a message on October 28, 2016:
To the Fleming Family I was sorry to learn of Mrs. Fleming's death. I remember her when I was growing up at MQH, being a classmate of Kathy's, and the Fleming kids going to my dad's school Gen. Mitchell. Mrs. Fleming was always so friendly to me. Mr. & Mrs. Fleming were on vacation at the time of my parents funerals so she sent a card when they returned. Years later I ran into her at the YMCA and thanked her for sending the card. We had a long conversation about my parents and she updated me about all the kids. She was so proud of them. I go to the same church as Kathy's Mother-in-law and she informed me about what has been happening to Mrs. Fleming. I would ask for updates whenever I see her at church. Since my dad also had Alzheimer's I understand what your family has been through and understood as I got updates about her. Remember her as she was before this terrible thing took over her body just as I do with my dad. She is no longer suffering from this. I will always think of her from the conversation we had at the Y. God bless your family during this difficult time. Patty (Noll) Kopp - (Bill & Louise Noll's daughter)

Our condolences to you and your family, Cletus. Although we only got to know you and Pat over the past year and a half, it was easy to see that Pat was a wonderful lady. We, and our parents, enjoyed her endearing company. A donation will be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Pat's name and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. The Balistrieri Family

I worked with Pat at Alverno College. She was pure goodness - always positive, happy, and willing to help at any time. My attitude on life is more positive because of Pat's many influences. She was a great inspiration and role model to how we should all live our lives - be happy, carefree, involved/active, and remember to love.

Pat Fleming was a wonderful friend to my Mother and will be missed for her upbeat nature, her ready smiles, energy and love of sports. She would accompany my Mother to many plays over the years and holiday get togethers at each others homes. She literally became a part of our household M-F when teaching in Milwaukee school district and they were enforcing residency requirements for teachers. Pat lived outside city limits so during the week stayed in spare bedroom in my parents home. She was a gracious and intelligent lady that made my Mom's world a better place and I will always be grateful for our family having the honor to know such a fine person.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I did not have the good fortune of knowing Pat, but I have been lucky enough to work with one of her children for the last 12 years. As a mom myself, I respect a lady who raised 6 children and know that my greatest legacy will be the children I someday leave behind. Through Colleen (who spreads happiness and sunshine wherever she goes!), Pat has left a wonderful legacy and has made the world a better place for having been here. Prayers to her family.
Ruthann Rohde left a message on October 21, 2016:
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to my dear friend Clete, their 6 kids, all the in-laws and many grandchildren and great grandchildren that formed their very large yet tightly knit family. Pat loved them all with such energy and commitment, and it was plain to see their devotion to her as well. Pat was an accomplished woman, dedicated not only to her own family, but also to her many students of all ages over years of teaching, and so many others she served informally through enthusiastic volunteerism. I was always impressed with her high energy and the variety of her interests from literature to sports (as a participant as well as a fan!), and always, of course, education. She seemed to me to be a quiet, humble, yet vibrant and strong person, who lived her life well. The incredible challenges Pat and the whole family had to face in responding to her illness are over now, and I hope that you will all be somehow comforted by the thought that she is now fully restored to her wonderful self. I'm wishing you all peace.

Pat was my very best friend in high school. My fondest memory was when the two of us swam around Elkhart Lake the summer of 1955 and how hungry we were when we finished! Pat was one of my bridesmaids when I got married June 14, 1958.
