She was born into Eternal Life on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 at the age of 51 after enduring complications from a severe allergic reaction suffered suddenly days prior. Pamela was the most loving, caring, and hardworking mother of her only child and daughter, Ashley Marie Phillips. She was the most admirable grandmother of Aaron Phillips and K’amille Bolden-Phillips. An adored sister of Ana Cocroft, Gerielle (DeVarrio) Raines, and Kwami (Yulonea) Barnes. She is survived by her loving parents Charles and Philomena Cocroft and preceded in death her loving birth father Richard Venable. A loving and nurturing aunt to nieces and nephews: Alex and Alyssa Cocroft; Darious, Brandon, Randy, Quabilah, and Klarque Barnes; Tarheman, Savannah and Kennedi Raines; and Myisha and Ruquaya Carter. Granddaughter of Delores and Ruben Carter, Walter and Ella Triplett, and AC and Hattie Cocroft. Pamela was the devoted and loyal partner in life to Joe Nierengarten. Pamela was a loving niece to Walter Triplett Jr., Mary-Dean Triplett, Cecilia Bergum, and Michael Carter. She was preceded, yet still loved and cherished by late aunts LaWanna and Pamela Carter. She was also very close with Cherise Weston, cousins Kamar Carter, Dorian Burns, and Carl Armstrong, whom she entrusted and confided in often, if not daily. She was more than a friend, but a sister to Renita Switzer, a friend since childhood, and still to this day. She was also beloved by her brother and sisters-in-law, a host of aunts and uncles, and many cousins and friends.
Pamela Marie Triplett was born on August 15th, 1968, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Pam graduated from Milwaukee Madison High School, before completing Medical Technician Training thereafter. She sculpted a career as a chef and cook with various employers, while also working in the health-care field as a caregiver and counselor at times. Pamela was a dedicated loving mother, grandmother, and partner, unconditionally caring for all her family she loved so much. Pamela was a strong advocate for justice in the African American community and stayed knowledgeable on every Black Lives Matter movement that she could. Pam had a unique soul and will be admired for how she always seemed to make things work out somehow juggling life, motherhood, grandmotherhood, a relationship and working to support those she loved with a supreme grace. She was a vibrant, beautiful woman with a passion for life. She will be remembered by her loved ones as an intelligent, selfless, caring woman who would do anything and everything for the people in her life that she cared for. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The memory of her legacy will never be forgotten by her loved ones and her spirit will live on forever with those loved ones.
