Our beautiful angel, Nori Homvilay Lengphounpraseuth was born Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 12:58 PM, and peacefully passed away in her parents’ arms on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 9:18 AM. She was a feisty fighter who gave the doctors and team a run for their money until her little 1lb 13.3oz body couldn’t fight any longer.
Nori is the sweet daughter of Tino and Rachel Lengphounpraseuth of New Berlin, Wisconsin. Spending just shy of 32 weeks growing in her mommy’s tummy, Nori loved hearing her big sisters sing to her in the womb “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” Big sister Mila often felt her “hold her hand” after singing to her at bedtime. She was born with brown curly hair and looked like a mini version of her big sister Olivia. She had long fingers and toes and the sweetest squeak cry. She spent her brief 1 week here on Earth peeking her sweet eyes open in her isolette while FaceTiming her big sisters or hearing her mommy singing. Her favorite pastimes were snuggling on mommy and daddy’s chest and sucking her thumb or paci.
In addition to her parents, Nori will be greatly missed by her 2 big sisters, Mila and Olivia; paternal grandparents, Bounnorng and Amphanh Lengs; maternal grandma Christine Knoespel; paternal great-grandpa, Thitlai Phomsouvanh; maternal great-grandma, Ilse Knoespel; aunts and uncles, Phan (Shawn) Sanford and Phanavanh (Arturo) Neri; cousins Prescott and Savannah Sanford. She is preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents Jonfong and Mone Akhavong, and Bouahom Phomsouvanh; maternal great-grandpa Karl Knoespel.
The family would like to extend our sincerest thank you to the incredible team at Children’s Wisconsin NICU, Froedtert Maternal Fetal Medicine and Labor & Delivery who enriched not only Nori’s life but her family’s as well during this difficult time. You were truly a blessing.
