Noel Livingston Dixon aka “Bobby” departed this life on March 3, 2026, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital while saying good-bye to family.
He was born to the union of Cleveland Phillip Dixon and Edith May Robinson on January 24, 1941, in Kingston, Jamaica. He was raised with his brother Bradford Greig, and other family members in the heart of Kingston. He was raised to love family, work hard, and be a stand-up man. He was the patriarch of his family.
He attended St. Aloysius Primary School in Kingston, Jamaica. This is where he was taught Catholic teachings and was baptized as a child. After graduation, he attended school for cabinet making. He worked in various furniture stores making beautiful pieces of furniture.
In 1962, Noel migrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the United States. In 1963, he married the love of his life, Rosita Suarez Ricketts. This union was blessed with three beautiful children: one son Antonio, and two daughters Maria and Lolita.
Noel attended Milwaukee Area Technical College for carpentry. He worked as a Master Foreman in construction at Hunzinger Construction Company, OIC, and Pelton Steel. He was a long-time member of the Carpenter’s Union. He assisted with building commercial structures in the city of Milwaukee such as St. Luke’s Hospital, Froedtert Memorial Hospital, Sinai Hospital, and other building on Jones Island in Milwaukee.
Noel leaves to cherish sweet memories, his wife, Rosita Dixon aka “Cuca”; one son, Antonio Dixon; two daughters, Maria Dixon and Lolita Dixon. Nine grandchildren, Richard Govan, Jr., Mariceta Govan, Marianna Ivy, Adrianna Ivy, Marrio Ivy, Jr., Lamonte Whitehead, Jr., Lolita Whitehead, Jr., Lilliana Whitehead, and Livingston Whitehead. Four great-grandchildren, Richard Govan III, Maylaylah Ogbonna, My’leyah Davis, Milo Johnson. Brother-in-laws Nastrullah (Sadiqa) Ahmad, Ricardo Ricketts, Fidencio (Carolyn) Ricketts, Gregory Ricketts. Sister-in-laws Paquita (Vincent) Young, Raquel Ricketts all in Milwaukee, June Miller in Florida, and a host of extended nieces, nephews, and family.
Noel had a deep love for his family. He created three generations of family while on this earth. He encouraged family to be their best version of themselves, live a respectable life, and put God first.
Noel will be greeted in heaven by his Father Cleveland, Mother Edith, Brother Bradford, and Great-granddaughter Maykaylah.
Gathering will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Bethel Tabernacle Church, 5419 West Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Visitation from 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM with Service to begin at 12:00 PM. Burial at Graceland Cemetery. Repast will be held at Brookfield Masonic Center, 4550 Pilgrim Road, Brookfield, WI 53005 at 3:00 PM.
