Nicola “Nicki” Steffens went to heaven December 1, 2022. She was 75. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister, her niece and her beloved pets Murray and Tessie.
She leaves behind family and friends who loved her very much.
Nicki was born in Milwaukee and graduated from Brookfield Central High School. She went to Mount Mary University. She spent most of her life in Wauwatosa, Brookfield and Waukesha. She was a true fan of everything WI especially Door County, the lakefront, frozen custard and a good fish fry.
Nicki worked for many years at Seikert and Baum and one year sold over 1,000,000 in office supplies! A huge accomplishment for a woman at that time. She was proud of her job and her work family.
She loved many things: cats, dogs and horses, England, chocolate, coffee, brandy old fashioneds, cake, beautiful things especially houses, flowers, Tony Goldwyn (lol), and art. She loved eating out and trying new restaurants. She was a creative person and made beautiful pillows and scarves. She loved her family at St Luke’s Lutheran Church. Even though she was limited physically she was still a compassionate caregiver to all.
She especially loved her Colorado family; nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews and was so joyful with each new addition.
To honor her call a friend or family member and tell them how much they mean to you, enjoy a good meal or donate to an animal charity of your choice. Thanks to all of you that loved her.
