Watch TributeNicola De Angelis Oct 24, 1935 – Jan 7, 2024. Nicola passed away peacefully surrounded by the very family he left Italy for 51 years ago. His goal was to provide the best possible life for his family in America. He worked long days at his craft at a Lannon stone quarry where evidence of his work is dotted throughout Milwaukee and surrounding States. A quiet man, he spoke loudly with his work ethic.
Nicola is preceded in death by his father Pasquale and mother Anna De Angelis as well as his brother Giovanni De Angelis (Assunta) in Italy.
Nicola leaves behind Anna (Borrelli), his loving wife of 65 years and beloved gardening partner as well as 2 devoted daughters AnnaMaria (Jerry) Kowalsky and Marisa De Angelis, both of whom helped him in all ways as well as found time to catch a few weekly games of Scopa Italian cards together. Additionally, he was proud nonno to 2 grandchildren Dan (Hope) Kowalsky and Christina Kowalsky as well as having the honor of being “Papa Nick” to 3 great grandchildren, Gabriel, Jude and Lucia who never failed to make him smile.
Nicola is further survived by his brother Vittorio (Rita) De Angelis and his sister Maria (Elio) Mastrocola and brother Carmelo (Aliya) De Angelis also his sister Immacolata (Pellegrino) Guglielmucci in Italy. Brother-in-law Guido (Mary Ann) Borrelli and sister-in-law Maria (Alfredo) Borrelli. Additionally, he is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends both in America and in Italy.
Special thanks to our extended family for all their love and support and to the Froedtert Menomonee Falls 4th floor nursing staff and doctors as well as the Horizon Hospice staff.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Krause Funeral Home 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield and a Mass of Christian burial Monday Jan 22, 2024 at 11:30 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church 18255 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield.
Entombment to follow mass at Holy Cross Cemetery.
