Welcomed into heaven by her beloved parents, Hans Peder and Kari-Margrete (nee Skjenald) Leknes, on January 29, 2026, age 67.

Hans was thrilled to attend the ’94 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway with Nancy, and the ’96 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, with both Kari and Nancy.

After her near fatal car accident, Hans took Nancy to the hospital for wound care 3-4 times a week for 9 months. After her emergency surgery that followed, Hans was Nancy’s total caregiver, lifting her from bed for nearly two months. He never complained once. He taught Nancy-Anne to be proud of her Norwegian heritage, the family were lifetime members of the Sons of Norway.

The family belonged to Ascension Lutheran Church for may years and were devout in their faith and values. Nancy’s parents were a great influence on her life and each loss was an enormous challenge for Nancy to get through. Surly she is reunited with them and has found eternal peace with the Lord.

I worked in the jail with Nancy. Her, along with Linda Pendzik taught me MORE of how the jail worked, not the handling of ''customers'' but the importance of the paperwork that runs the machine.
