(Nee, Chopela/Tsopelas) Born to eternal life, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late James George Andrews. Loving mother of Elaine (and late Timothy) Hoffman and George (Karen) Andrews. Proud grandmother of James (Jennifer) Smith of Germany, Jason (Emily)Smith of Columbia, MD, Jennifer (Brian)Daley of Waukesha, WI, Demetri (Jaimie) Andrews of Platteville, WI and Elena (Chad) Guastella of Prior Lake, MN. Cherished great grandmother of Rebekah and Sam Daley, Maya and Elyse Andrews, Giada and Enzo Guastella. Beloved sister of John (Georgia) Tsopelas. Nancy is also survived by many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Tsopelas, sisters, Dolores Maris, Jennie Templin, Christine Adams, Evelyn Koconis, Dianne Curtis, and brother Danny Tsopelas. After graduating from business college, she worked for the U.S. Government in Washington, DC. After World War II began, she was sent to Cairo Egypt where she worked in the Office of Strategic Services. The adventure of working for the intelligence agency was a great experience which enabled her to travel throughout the Middle East, Italy, and Morocco. Nancy met Jim in Washington, DC where he was serving in the military. They were married on October 19, 1947. Through the years she worked in other governmental positions and ended her career working for the Milwaukee VA. Nancy was an avid Milwaukee Brewer and Green Bay Packer fan and was proud of her hole in one in golf. She was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Church where she was an active member of Philoptochos. Nancy’s greatest joy was spending time with her family especially birthday parties, holiday celebrations, picnics, and school events. She was a kind and gentle lady, yet had a spunky, feisty spirit. Nancy will be greatly missed by many.
