Ebony, it is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I express these words of condolences to you at the loss of your mother. I know these are emotional times for you Ebony, but you already know--"you were her proud and joy." It resonates with me now as I write these heartfelt words, what a beautiful and kind person Brenda was. Over the last sixteen years, she periodically reached ou,t to let me know that she was thinking of me and praying for me. Words I will never forget.
Ebony, Psalm 30:5---"Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning."

My condolences to the family. I pray that the Lord gives you peace and comfort in times like this. There are so many wonderful times that I have shared with Brenda. Time will not permit me to share even a fraction without hurting. Sometimes when I would call her mother, Martha Ann without saying “Mrs.” , she would holler out. Ma! Lester calling you”Martha”! Then it would be on! Her momma staring at me and I’m trying to explain. Brenda be pushing her on. When she was visiting her mother some years ago she pulled me to the side. She said Lester, look in on my mother. I did just that. To this day I’m grateful for that honor she entrusted me with. I will always cherish her friendship. May all of us remember the joy in “Pasty”❤️
