Hi Jim; A great lady. Gentle and kind and loving. A solid loving person. She always made me feel at ease. You were a lucky man to have such a great wife. I thank you for your tremendous efforts as a congressman.

Hi Jim; Your wife was a special lady. Made me feel at ease and was a kind and gentle person. Cannot say anything better. She sized me up well and understood who and what i was. Wish I was more but that was me at that time. I think it is important for me to tell you that you were a lucky man. Your wife is a loving person who will always live in your heart. Few people find that kind of love. Few people have been blessed so greatly. Sincerely from a simpleton friend who recognized how a flawed person was blessed to be part of your life.

Jim, I so enjoyed the time I spent with you and Cheryl on Svalbard and in Arctic Norway. I admired her indominatable spirit and the courage with which she led her life. I never had a personal inkling of what it took until an old neck and spine injury caught up to me a few years and made walking more than a few yards nearly impossible. I admired her, even more so when I found out what she did for those of us whose activities have been curtailed by injury. I know you must miss her terribly; it was obvious how very much in love the two of you still were after nearly 40 years (when we traveled together). Warmest regards, Pete... Stanford ‘63.

Leave a memory about Cheryl...my goodness, most of us could fill a book! I smiled at the words you used, especially her 'larger than life spirit' When Cheryl was in the room, not only did her signature sound fill it but she was so inclusive and welcoming. My 91 year old mother remembers how Cheryl always made it a point to welcome her to an event and share a conversation. I remember Cheryl giving several DC tours for my nieces during our 4th grade adventure there...she ended the day at the bookstore for keepsakes. She got out of her car, with my kids and told me to get behind the wheel and drive around until they were done! I knew better than to argue with her so I took a quick lesson on driving her 'handicap' car and prayed my way around until they all returned. Cheryl Sensenbrenner will always have a special place in our hearts.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
